Goals for 2026

A new year approaches us for more resolutions!

I've decided there's a lot for me to do this year, and I'm bound and determined to do that. I didn't set any blog-specific goals for 2025 because I wasn't sure where it would go. Personally, it's been hard to get back into books, but I found it!

Goals

• Two book reviews a month

• Complete archetype series

• Read thirty books

• Twelve 'free-range' articles.

What book reviews are coming out in 2026?

There are many a-coming to 2026. I'm ahead of my reading goal already and have up to ten books I have already written a review for. So where are all these reviews going to come out? I'm planning to do at least two book reviews a month.

Many include the Empyrean series, the sequel to City of Dusk, the Narnia series, and a few self-help books I found interesting.

What about the archetype series?

Glad you asked! I'm still writing the series as we speak. There are an endless number of archetypes, as some have found out, but I've been researching all I can to make it a complete series - I have planned out the last one coming out in June of 2026! I'm so excited for those that remain for me to research and bring to you all.

Will you still be taking ARC reads?

Not at this time. I have a whole TBR sitting around the house, including series and stand-alones, just waiting for me to open them (and turn them around on my bookshelf). It must also be noted that I'm still in college. This is an essential time for me to finish up, as I'm graduating in December of 2026 as well! I have big, big plans for this year, can you tell?

What about the Spotlight Project?

That is still going on! Again, I'm still in college, so my free time is minimal. I'm focusing more on my local authors than on country- and worldwide-level authors. It's hard to find the time at the moment, but I will get there.

My questions for you -

What more would you like to see? This is important to know, as what I'm doing aligns with my audience. I enjoy the little feedback you all send me in messages!

How can I make it more engaging? This is a big one for me. Bring your friends over to Mixed Writings and see what more I can do for the writing community.

What other series would you like me to write about? The archetype series fell into my lap this year, but more, different articles for the writing community wouldn't hurt.
